South Sudan Panel

January 26, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Political conflict has caused massive displacement, raging violence and dire food shortages. Out of the 9.6 million affected individuals, 5.1 million are children. Given South Sudan’s standing as the “world’s youngest country,” almost 4 million people are at risk of starvation and another 1 million are in need of some form of additional aid.

Throughout this event, we aim to inform and stimulate discussion amongst the student body with regards to the crises.

Journalists for Human Rights’ Grant McDonald who is the Program Manager of JHR’s South Sudan project will be speaking at this event.
